ALLG - Who we are
The Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG) is the only not for profit organisation designing and delivering investigator initiated (i.e. free of pharmaceutical company influence) clinical trial research into blood cancers. Comprised of clinicians from almost all Australian and New Zealand public health institutions involved in the treatment of blood cancer patients, our trials are underpinned by high calibre scientific hypotheses and incorporate laboratory based research. Many ALLG trials are multidisciplinary and involve collaborations with other national collaborative cancer groups and researchers particularly Nurses, Pathologists, Cytogeneticists.
Integral to ALLG clinical trials is the ALLG Tissue Bank located at Princess Alexandra Hospital, QLD. FOR MOST CURRENT TISSUE BANK HOLDING FIGURES, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
Documents and information in the password controlled restricted access area are only available to the financial members and associate members responsible for the conduct of the ALLG trials. If you are a member and do not yet have a Username and Password, please email Dilu Uduwela to request one.
How to Help or Make a Donation
The ALLG has received its endorsement as a tax deductible gift recipient with the ATO. Please click here to view the notice of the confirmation of ALLG's tax status on the government's ABR website.
The group draws financial support via grants from government and non-government bodies. Monetary donations and bequests of all sizes are ways individuals can support the ALLG and its work and the ALLG also seeks financial support from business and the philanthropic community through event and project sponsorships and donation programs.
All donations to the ALLG are tax deductible to the givers, and this means that any donation officially received by the ALLG allows the donor to claim a deduction for the full amount of their donation in their Income Tax return for the year in which the donation was made.
It is well founded that clinical trial participation provides optimal care for individual patients, and leads to improvements in standards of care for the whole community. Your donation will help the Group to further its Vision to Cure and create a brighter future through research. If you wish to support blood cancer research, please contact the Chief Executive Officer, Delaine Smith.
